SCHEDULE FOR TEACHER EDUCATION PROGRAM ACCOUNTABILITY:
PROCESS FOR DATA COLLECTING AND REPORTING

 

 

Aug. 28-Sept. 11, 2000

Institutions check/verify their 1998-99 program completer data.
 

September 14, 2000

Report of 1998-99 institutional data to Regents.
  October 1, 2000 Electronic data collection forms will be available to institutions on the web. An informational list-serve is established.

  October 7, 2000 State must submit its plan and schedule for Title II reporting at both State and institutional levels to National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

  December 1, 2000 Institutions' program completer lists and background information reports are due to NYSED.

  December 1-31, 2000

NYSED follows up on missing/unusable data.

  February 1, 2001

Verification/checking reports for 1999-2000 data are made available to colleges.
  March 1, 2001 Institutional data are checked and corrected by colleges or else processed "as is". Additional explanatory or background material (e.g., student demographics or alternate route program descriptions) may be added.

  March 31, 2001 Colleges receive copies of "final" institutional reports with comparative statewide figures. These data must thenceforth be reported in catalogs, websites, and other public documents.

  April 7, 2001 State as well as Federal reports are drafted and ready for distribution to Regents, NCES, public.
